Comparisons
Head-to-heads for the matchups people ask about most, with who should pick which. Below them, side-by-side tables for other close competitors.
Head-to-heads
- PrizePicks vs UnderdogPrizePicks and Underdog both have you call More or Less (Underdog says Higher or Lower) on player stats, and both now sell team picks as event contracts. The split is format: every PrizePicks Player Picks lineup is grouped against other players' lineups, while Underdog runs a Classic Pick'em next to its peer-to-peer Pick'em Champions and best-ball drafts.
- Kalshi vs Polymarket (US)Kalshi and Polymarket US are both CFTC-regulated exchanges where you buy Yes/No contracts that pay $1 if you're right. Their taker fees are almost identical. The bigger split is where you can trade: as of November 2, 2026, Kalshi's sports contracts are blocked in Michigan, Nevada and Washington, while Polymarket US lists only Nevada as unavailable, has agreed to stop sports contracts in Michigan by November 25, and is being sued by New York.
- DraftKings vs FanDuelDraftKings and FanDuel both run salary-cap daily fantasy, plus single-game contests, snake drafts and best ball. The formats overlap so much that where you live usually decides it. As of November 2026, DraftKings takes paid entries in Connecticut but not Oregon, and FanDuel is the reverse.
- DraftKings vs PrizePicksDraftKings' daily fantasy contests and PrizePicks both pay out on real player stats, but you play them differently. On DraftKings you draft a full lineup under a $50,000 salary cap and score fantasy points against a contest field; on PrizePicks you call More or Less on 2 to 6 stat projections. DraftKings' own More/Less game is a separate product, Pick6.
- Kalshi vs PrizePicksKalshi is a CFTC-regulated exchange where you trade Yes/No contracts on sports, economics, weather and culture. PrizePicks is mainly a pick'em fantasy app, but it also sells Team Picks and Culture Picks event contracts through its own broker, PrizePicks Predict. The split is how you win: on Kalshi you trade a price you can sell before the game ends, while PrizePicks Player Picks pays preset amounts based on how your lineup does against other players.
- DraftKings vs UnderdogDraftKings is a salary-cap daily fantasy site that also runs best ball drafts. Underdog started with best ball, but its founder says drafts now get far less use than its other games, which include pick'em and Team Picks event contracts. Location splits them too: in September 2026 Underdog stopped new drafts in seven states where DraftKings still takes paid entries.
- Sleeper vs UnderdogSleeper and Underdog both offer player pick'em and Team Picks event contracts in one app. The clearest split is best ball: Underdog runs paid best ball tournaments, while on Sleeper best ball is a setting for free leagues. Their pick'em payouts, state lists and payment options differ too.
- DraftKings Pick6 vs PrizePicksPick6 and PrizePicks both run peer-to-peer More/Less pick'em: your entry competes with other players' entries, not against the operator. They differ in how a lineup is built, how your stake is split into contests, and where you can play.
- Betr Picks vs PrizePicksBetr Picks and PrizePicks are both More/Less pick'em apps. The split is format: in 18 states Betr sells standard Picks with the prize posted before you enter, and in 15 states plus DC it offers only peer-to-peer Group Play, while PrizePicks groups every Player Picks lineup against other players.
- Dabble vs PrizePicksDabble and PrizePicks are both More/Less pick'em apps. In 20 states plus DC, Dabble sells fixed-payout All-In and Hedge entries, while PrizePicks puts every Player Picks lineup into a group with other players. Dabble also builds its app around social play, including one-tap copying of other users' entries.
- ParlayPlay vs PrizePicksParlayPlay and PrizePicks both have you pick More or Less on player stats. ParlayPlay's standard More/Less entries lock in a payout built from each pick's multiplier, with a separate peer-to-peer mode called Rumble, while every PrizePicks Player Picks lineup is grouped against other players.
- Kalshi vs Robinhood Prediction MarketsKalshi is an exchange. Robinhood is a broker that sells event contracts from Kalshi and three other CFTC-regulated exchanges inside its brokerage app. Kalshi's fee peaks on 50-cent contracts. Robinhood adds its own commission, capped at 1 cent a contract, and passes on an exchange fee, so the split comes down to cost against convenience.
- DraftKings Predictions vs KalshiDraftKings Predictions is DraftKings' event-contract app. It passes your orders to CFTC-regulated exchanges, including its affiliate DKeX. Kalshi is a CFTC-regulated exchange you join directly. The main split is geography: DraftKings offers sports contracts only in 17 states, all without a DraftKings sportsbook, while Kalshi's sports contracts are unavailable in Michigan, Nevada and Washington as of November 2, 2026, and contested in other states.
- FanDuel Predicts vs KalshiFanDuel Predicts is FanDuel's event-contract app, run by a FanDuel and CME Group joint venture that is a registered futures broker. Kalshi is a CFTC-regulated exchange you join directly. The split is sports access and fees: FanDuel offers sports contracts in 17 states and charges a flat 2 cents per $1 of potential payout, while Kalshi's fee changes with the price and its sports contracts are unavailable in Michigan, Nevada and Washington as of November 2, 2026.
- Kalshi vs NovigKalshi and Novig are both CFTC-designated exchanges where you trade against other users rather than a house. Kalshi lists sports plus economics, weather and culture and opens accounts at 18. Novig, designated in June 2026, is a sports-only exchange for users 21 and older that charges no fee on pre-game straight trades.
- Novig vs ProphetXNovig and ProphetX are peer-to-peer sports exchanges that both became CFTC-designated contract markets in June 2026. On both you can take a posted price or set your own, and you trade against other users rather than a house. The split is mostly fees and eligibility: Novig charges nothing on pre-game straight trades but requires you to be 21, while ProphetX takes 2% of net winnings and accepts users from 18, or the local age of majority if that is higher.
- SaberSim vs StokasticSaberSim and Stokastic are both simulation-based DFS tools for DraftKings and FanDuel. SaberSim simulates each game and feeds the results into its own optimizer. Stokastic simulates the contest itself and ranks lineups by simulated ROI, and it includes those contest sims on its cheapest plans.
- RotoGrinders Premium vs StokasticRotoGrinders Premium and Stokastic both sell DFS projections, ownership and simulation tools, per sport or as all-sport bundles. RotoGrinders bundles expert articles with its LineupHQ optimizer and SimLabs. Stokastic's product is its Contest Sims, which build lineups and rank them by simulated ROI.
- SaberSim vs THE SOLVERSaberSim and THE SOLVER are both DFS lineup optimizers with late swap and a contest simulator. SaberSim builds from its own game simulations and ownership projections. THE SOLVER is built around projections you upload or sync from partners such as Establish The Run, and it costs less if you play one sport.
- Outlier vs Props.CashOutlier and Props.Cash are player prop research apps that both start at $19.99 a month with a 7-day free trial. Props.Cash centers on hit-rate charts and line comparison for props. Outlier also covers game lines, and its higher tiers add odds charts, positive-EV, arbitrage and middles tools.
- PickFinder vs Props.CashPickFinder and Props.Cash are prop research tools for pick'em players and bettors, and both start at $19.99 a month. PickFinder covers 14 sports, including tennis, soccer and esports, but has no free trial. Props.Cash lists the NFL, NBA, WNBA, NHL, NCAA and MLB, and lets you try it free for 7 days.
- Props.Cash vs PropsMadnessProps.Cash and PropsMadness are player prop research tools built around hit-rate charts and line comparison. PropsMadness has a free tier that isn't a trial and deeper matchup filters, but it covers four leagues. Props.Cash adds the NHL and college sports, with a 7-day free trial instead of a free tier.
- FantasyPros vs RotoWireFantasyPros and RotoWire both sell one subscription that covers season-long leagues and DFS. FantasyPros is built on expert consensus rankings and keeps its DFS optimizer in its top HOF plan, for NFL, MLB and NBA. RotoWire has covered fantasy news since 1997; its DFS Pass costs more but has optimizer pages for eight sports and adds pick'em tools.
- 4for4 vs FantasyPros4for4 is an NFL-only fantasy site sold as season passes, built around John Paulsen's rankings and projections. FantasyPros combines many experts' rankings into one consensus and sells plans that cover NFL, MLB and NBA. For DFS, 4for4 goes deeper on NFL with ownership, floor and ceiling projections, while FantasyPros covers more sports.
- Establish The Run vs FantasyProsEstablish The Run, founded by Adam Levitan and Evan Silva, sells DFS projections, ownership projections and slate analysis for NFL, with separate golf, college football and NBA products. FantasyPros combines many experts' rankings and sells a tool suite for NFL, MLB and NBA. The split: ETR sells analysis but no optimizer of its own, while FantasyPros' HOF plan includes one at a lower price.
