SaberSim vs THE SOLVER

SaberSim and THE SOLVER are both DFS lineup optimizers with late swap and a contest simulator. SaberSim builds from its own game simulations and ownership projections. THE SOLVER is built around projections you upload or sync from partners such as Establish The Run, and it costs less if you play one sport.

Which one fits you

SaberSim

  • Pick SaberSim if you don't have projections you trust and want point and ownership projections built in.
  • Pick SaberSim if you want contest sims beyond NFL and golf. Ultimate lists contest sims for all sports at $297 a month.
  • Pick SaberSim if you play on OwnersBox.

THE SOLVER

  • Pick THE SOLVER if you already pay for Establish The Run, 4for4 or another partner and want those projections synced into an optimizer.
  • Pick THE SOLVER if you play one sport and want a lower price: from $24.99 a month, or $37.99 for NFL.
  • Pick THE SOLVER if you play on SuperDraft or DraftStars, or want a free bankroll tracker.

Where the projections come from

SaberSim simulates every game thousands of times to make its own point projections, and says its ownership projections are tailored to each GPP in the lobby. THE SOLVER lets you upload your own projections, sync a partner (Establish The Run, 4for4, PayDirt DFS, DailyFanRacing, Moonshots MLB or Ballpark Pal) or use its Default projections. It calls those defaults a baseline and recommends a partner for premium numbers, and partner subscriptions are bought separately.

Price

SaberSim Starter is $97 a month and includes the optimizer for every sport it covers. THE SOLVER's optimizer starts at $24.99 a month for one sport, $37.99 for NFL, $77.99 a month for all sports, or $339.94 every 6 months. If you add ETR or another partner's projections, that subscription is extra. On SaberSim, uploading custom data and aggregating projection sources are listed on Ultimate, not Starter.

Contest simulation

SaberSim's Ultimate plan, $297 a month, lists contest sims for all sports with ROI, cash rate and win rate. THE SOLVER sells its simulator separately, for NFL and golf only. It was built with Establish The Run, and NFL plans cost $25.99 a month for one lineup at a time, $47.99 for 40 lineups and $224.99 for 3,000.

Lineup volume and sites

SaberSim builds 500 lineups at a time on Starter and 5,000 on Ultimate, for DraftKings, FanDuel, Yahoo and OwnersBox. THE SOLVER builds up to 1,000 lineups per build, and its Lineup Builder makes up to 3,000 with fewer rules. It supports DraftKings, FanDuel, Yahoo, SuperDraft and DraftStars. Both list late swap on their base plans.

Free and trial options

SaberSim's Starter trial costs $7 for 7 days. THE SOLVER's Bankroll Tracker and Best Ball Explorer are free to use, separate from the paid optimizer.
