The law in Ohio
DraftKings and FanDuel both offer salary-cap DFS in Ohio, where fantasy operators must be licensed or registered with the state. None of the major pick'em apps (PrizePicks, Underdog, Sleeper, Betr, Dabble) offer paid pick'em here. Players must be 18 or older.
Regulator: Ohio Casino Control Commission.
Recent changes: Sept 2026: Underdog surrendered its Ohio license, and on Sept 25 the Sixth Circuit ruled that Ohio can regulate Kalshi's sports contracts. The Casino Control Commission then ordered 10 prediction-market operators and brokers, including Underdog's prediction-market arm, to stop sports contracts by Oct 16; most did not. On Oct 20 it told all fantasy contest and sports gaming licensees to stop supporting unlicensed sports-contract operators by Oct 30 or risk their licenses. Kalshi asked the Sixth Circuit for a rehearing on Oct 9, Polymarket sued the state on Oct 16, and Robinhood agreed to stop opening new sports contracts in Ohio from Nov 2.
