DFS salary value calculator (points per $1K)
DraftKings and FanDuel use different scoring and salary scales, so compare value within one site, not across them.

What value means in salary-cap DFS
Value is fantasy points per $1,000 of salary. A $6,500 player projected for 18.5 points is a 2.85× value. Because every lineup has the same cap, the lineup with the most total value usually wins.
Targets differ by sport and contest. In NFL cash games, 2.5–3× from most of your lineup is often enough; in large tournaments you usually need several players to reach 4–5× or more. Use the table to see how many points a player needs to hit each multiple.
Questions
How do you calculate DFS value?
Divide projected fantasy points by salary in thousands. 20 points at $5,000 is 20 / 5 = 4×.
What is a good value in DFS?
It depends on the sport, site and contest. As a rough guide, about 3× is solid for cash games and 4–5× or more is the target for tournament plays.
